"For pitchers who need to gain weight one of my first steps is to reframe how they think about meals. A meal is 1000 calories with a protein source. -A glass of milk and a slice of toast is not a meal. -A bowl of cereal is not a meal. -A sandwich with X slices of turkey is not a meal. Packing in 4000+ calories doesnt happen by grazing on light snacks. It requires a paradigm shift especially for those who (like me) grew up around people who barely eat and dont understand the portion sizes needed for growth in faster metabolism athletes"
