Danske Bank A/S is part of a consortium of nine European banks that have joined forces to launch a euro-denominated stablecoin, compliant with the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) framework, expected to be rolled out in the second half of 2026. The stablecoin aims to provide a regulated digital payment solution and challenge the dominance of US-dollar backed stablecoins. Meanwhile, Danske Bank has also partnered with FinanceKey to enable real-time liquidity management for businesses.
