"Slowly ticking up. To put things into perspective one needs to acknowledge how cheap this is from both income statement and balance sheet view. Just for the company to be trading on par with its net CURRENT assets (ignoring fixed assets entirely) we are in for a 2x. At that price (R10/share) you would still be buying the healthy operating company at 6x earnings (and thats on a low earnings year). Pretty insane how the JSE gives us these opportunities from time to time. Still risks of negative developments in imminent update but Im seeing a lot of potential here"

"Okay Calgro interims out. No trading statement needed as results were not significantly different over the period. Will give further detail in newsletter but for now here are my key takeaways: Firstly the basics: HEPS down to 82c/share for the half-year a tad lower YoY largely due to shift in capital allocation strategy toward Bankenveld project (new initial costs fronted). Revenue from this project has not yet been reflected (typical in construction) so earnings are be skewed by up front costs and should have a boost going forward. Would have been nice to see growth in HEPS over the period"

"The previous auditor hasnt refused to sign off on anything (or at least that hasnt been disclosed); it looked like an under capacity issue which I believe at this time of the year and with some anecdotal support. Look at defensives consumer goods regional banks. Thats where the fear is and it is reflected in VIX not in the indices.
