"The market is pricing Sasol $SSL as a run-off vehicle at 2.7x EBITDA. This assumes Secunda volume impairments are structural. They are mechanical. The bottleneck is specific: coal fines from degrading feedstock are starving the Lurgi gasifiers. The fix is the commissioning of the destoning plant which removes hard rock pre-crusher and restores feed specifications. At current valuations the Chemicals International division alone justifies the entire market cap. You are effectively getting the South African energy monopoly for free. If the engineering fix restores volumes to 7.4Mtpa as"
