"Much of TV programming on the major networks is losing $$ its why they compete so fervently for sports and why all the best original scripted shows are on the streaming networks. "If by hitting worse (both Avg and OPS). ok sure. In 1975 the NL had XX players bat over .300. Today there is just one despite X more teams in the league. Will Smith is hitting .323 good for 6th in 1975. If you want to say there are more HRs sure that would be true. The fact is the pitching and the hitting were better XX years ago and beyond. The pursuit of max velocity and launch angle have inversely impacted the quality of play"
