"It is an opinion. That's what we do here. I don't think it's particularly close as someone who has watched 7500+ games during this time period. The game has been ground down by analytics X outcomes has become too prevalent. Players hunting max velocity and launch angle has not been good for the quality of the game. That is my opinion. Looked quick for some basic stats and they do seem to support it. "On the short porch thing per baseball savant Yankee Stadium is just tied for 15th in baseball with Busch Stadium in St. Louis and the Rogers Centre in Toronto) in terms of park factor for offense so XX Stadiums more hitter friendly and only XX harder. Dodger Stadium is 6th most offense friendly park in baseball and has yielded more HR's than Yankee Stadium. The thought that Ohtani would hit more here is just buying into the false narrative. You are right I'd love to have him here trying either way"

"If by hitting worse (both Avg and OPS). ok sure. In 1975 the NL had XX players bat over .300. Today there is just one despite X more teams in the league. Will Smith is hitting .323 good for 6th in 1975. If you want to say there are more HRs sure that would be true. The fact is the pitching and the hitting were better XX years ago and beyond.
