"#F1 #BelgianGP 2025 🟥/🟧/🟦/ - Pre-FP1 Downforce Levels Analysis Compared to Silverstone teams are going down on downforce. Some more some less some choices are curious and some are perplexing - in my view 🟥 Ferrari are taking X steps down on rear end downforce which is why they have trimmed front wing flaps as well. "#F1 #F1Tech 2025 🟥 New Ferrari Rear Suspension - Analysis 🟥 The much-awaited updated rear suspension was tested in Mugello by Ferrari yesterday. Photos show clear changes to upper wishbone geometry - namely the apparent increase in anti-squat geometry (not as dramatic as Mercedes though) while it also looks to me like there are smaller changes to lower wishbone as well Anti-squat geometry increases the resistance of the rear end to squat under acceleration. On its own it's a partial solution to rear-end softness that Ferrari experiences which forced them to lift their car too high and lose"

"#F1 #SpanishGP 2025 🟦 Red Bull Floor Spec Conundrum 🟦 Few days ago @Hayw4rd brought a curious thing about Red Bull's floor in Spain to my attention - return of simple diffuser keel 🤔 At first we all thought this meant the old floor is back and Miami/Imola spec is not used. But that was a mistake it was actually (only) a change of diffuser keel geometry in Barcelona. In Imola RB21 had the hybrid keel solution while they used simple triangular keel geometry in Spain My guess is a desire to reduce sensitivity to ride heights but I'm not sure this was the right choice looking at how Imola"

"#F1 #BelgianGP 2025 🏁🌦 - Circuit and Weather Preview Will have to be brief with this one. Spa is one of the best circuits in the world my personal favourite (Suzuka is close 2nd) and a wonderful high-speed Ring in the woods of Ardennes. It's a front-limited circuit with a high stress on tyres due to so many high-speed long-radius corners The X notable traction zones are Bus-Stop Chicane and La Source two section right next to each other - but separated by Main Straight. If Bruxelles (T10) was uphill instead it would probably be the 3rd traction zone. 🟧Spa requires excellent aerodynamic"

"#F1 #SpanishGP 2025 🟧/🟥/🟦/ - Rear End Configuration My absolute favourite view of these cars and their huge rear aerodynamic surfaces 😍 Anyone interested in any particular detail to discuss 🤓"

"#F1 #BelgianGP 2025 🟧/🟥/🟦/ - Expected Rear Wing Choices - Thread Spa is a circuit where you can borderline race with a Monza-level wing if you are putting the biggest emphasis on drag reduction. Most of the teams will chose a slightly higher level than that though as all four tyres need to have good grip and no sliding through many high-speed corners"

"Not a surprise but some of the performance and especially yesterday's Sprint Pole suggest to me that McLaren may have a) used the new floor tested in Silverstone and b) taken a step forward with it - despite Stella indicating earlier that they may not use it due to Sprint format I didn't get the time to look at the floor in detail hopefully this evening or tomorrow morning I find some time to examine which spec they use here"

"Think that was maybe a pole lost for Verstappen with that slide out of La Source will look at the data available later to check. My guess is X tenths lost there at least that traction zone goes all the way through Eau Rouge and Radillion down the Kemmel and that's a loooot of meters and thousands lost adding up"

"#F1 #BelgianGP 2025 🟧/🟥 - Trimmed Front Wings Spa and Baku feature lower wing loads than mixed circuits like Jeddah and Miami so teams must also trim front wing flaps Monza and Vegas require further trimming too"

"🟧 McLaren with Jeddah/Miami/Silverstone 2025 wing though flap tips seem updated 🟥 Ferrari using 2023 wing with 2024 flap tips 🟦 Red Bull using Silverstone 2025 wing Mercedes using wing first used in Jeddah 2023 Decent Top Speed advantage for Red Bull at the moment if nothing changes Ferrari will probably lose the least on straights"

"@formulaleonog7 i'm looking for beam wing choice typically only RB lacks the most on PU mode in FP sessions relative to Q3 mclaren lately turns it up completely in fp3"

"What's visually the most striking is that only the central section of V-wing on Hamilton's car looks the most different. Outboard span is fairly similar in AoA and camber while both wings have trimmed DRS flaps and flap tips are very similar in geometry as well Front wing flaps are also not too different but Hamilton's AoA is slightly larger to balance out the bigger rear wing obviously"

"@nws13 Agreed but for me this year it's not a clear situation at Spa especially since Qualy will most likely be dry you just know Verstappen will nail that lap in Q3 and start ahead"
