I was really excited about them because they had a huge pipeline with a lot of cool science going on plus they had a successful program with SCA but since then it got delayed and the FDA added an Adcom. That is a big risk now. They also had some failures in some of their other programs like SMA and Bipolar. "Let me build on my friends case. Successful biotech is a virtuois cycle. Data validates science which builds value and brings in more capital. The issue is that XX% of drugs that start phase X never make it to commercial. The risk in biotech investing is trading value in the form of validation for potential in the form of risk.
