"My general sense is while its impressive that Chinese humanoid robotics manufacturers are able to present a purchasable product theyre essentially novelty items. Because these companies are government backed they dont need their product releases to be financial successes. Of course eventually they will be. But right now theyre marketing. Thats it. The whole point of humanoid robots is that they can seamlessly integrate into existing human system/infrastructure. You need a functioning hand to do that. Its that simple. And the hand is extremely complex and a difficult challenge to nail down."
