"TORNADO THREAT INCREASING this afternoon and evening for the ridge rider setup in northern Iowa into southern Minnesota. A remnant outflow boundary zone will destabilize this afternoon ahead of a jet streak which triggers a 35-40 knot low-level jet overtop the southeasterlies. There could even be a significant #tornado or two this evening maybe far southeastern Minnesota. Stay tuned to severe weather watches and warnings from Albert Lea through Rochester MN down into northern Iowa. There is also a threat of severe weather across the Carolinas on the east side of the southeast U.S. ridge."
