"Horizon Kinetics controlled extremely illiquid BTC miner $WELX just collapsed XX% on some $200K ish of volume on no news as far as I can tell. "$CGX.TO And there it is. Cineplex Digital Media sold for $70m. Would have liked to see a higher price tag but it's still a material in flow of capital (7% of the convert diluted market cap). Importantly the transaction delevers the balance sheet and makes capital returns a reality. I suspect this is just the beginning of readying the company for an outright sale. "Extending the SPOT analogy with some numbers: Market cap: SPOT ($140B); SNAP ($14B) Revenues: $18B vs. $5.6B Gross Profit: $5.8B (30% margin) vs. $3B (54%) So SPOT is worth 10x SNAP today with only 3x the revenue and less than 2x the gross profit. Obviously SPOTs revenue is much higher quality - less competition stickier less cyclical listening to music is inevitable etc. But SNAP's gross margins are much higher and the delta could expand significantly. SNAP also was 1.4x the MAU (much lower ARPU) SPOT trades for 20x gross profit. At half that multiple simply on today's numbers SNAP is a"
