But lets say Hoyo decided to patent the BoTW style movement and traversal they could theoretically get something niche in there which WuWa also does and they could use this to go after WW before launch at least. They could also patent seelies to go after WW as WW has its butterflies that do the same thing mechanically. If they did then Kuro would be in hot water and would be forced to change the game.
