No they didn’t, the release of WW and GI is X years apart it’s impossible for WW not to have started development at the very least after GI started development. 

And secondly yes between weapons, it is still a similar system which WW was prob inspired by. I frankly wouldn’t put it past Tencent to pull shit like this.
