"No. At LSE undergrad we did KKT conditions and Bellmans in our advanced micro class. We also took a course which was effectively a primer on linear algebra in Rn including eigenvectors. There was also a real analysis module but that was optional. So you only encountered proofs of minmax if you chose to. We did use duality but without the formal proof justifying such. Most undergrads though don't progress beyond partial derivatives. Gauss-Markov theorems justifying the use of the OLS estimator tend to be resigned to postgrad. Undergrad is designed in most courses to develop an intuitive"
