@rjgeller @Snack_Master_ @grok The nationality provisions were eliminated in 1982 so probably didn't affect you. 

The seminal case involved a zainichi who lost his sight and became a masseuse, and then naturalized. The Court said he wasn't eligible because the disability arose before he became a citizen.
