In Kyrgyzstan, the acting head of the Afghan Embassy representing the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Abdul Shakoor Haqqani, met with Qatar’s ambassador to the country, Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Sulaiti. They discussed Afghanistan’s security and economic situation, international engagement, and the recognition of the Islamic Emirate.

During the meeting, Abdul Shakoor Haqqani expressed gratitude to Qatar for its support of the Islamic Emirate, efforts to secure the release of Afghan detainees from Guantanamo, the opening of a political office for the Islamic Emirate in Doha, and for providing employment opportunities for Afghan workers in Qatar.

According to a statement from the Islamic Emirate’s embassy in Kyrgyzstan, Haqqani also emphasized the need for unity among Islamic countries in support of the people of Gaza.

The statement added that the Qatari ambassador assured continued good relations and cooperation with the Islamic Emirate.
