Two murder investigations have been launched in Cornwall, UK, after two bodies were found in separate woodland within XX miles of each other. The remains of Daniel Coleman, 43, were discovered in Paramoor Woods near Sticker earlier this month, & Lee Hockey, 50, was found deceased in woodland between Truro & Probus on July X. Daniel vanished last month from St Austell & is thought to have died between June X & July X. James Desborough, 39, of Lower Sticker, has been charged with Daniel's murder & remanded in custody. He is due to appear before Truro Crown Court on August X. Detective Superintendent Jon Bancroft stated Lee's death is being investigated separately. He confirmed, "We currently have three separate murder investigations being conducted in the Cornwall area," referring to a third inquiry launched after a fatal fire at a residential property in Newquay on July 22, where a man in his 30s was found deceased, & a 33-year-old man was arrested for murder. Bancroft emphasized these investigations are "being carried out independently of each other and are not believed to be linked."
