If you'll remember last year's race at Indianapolis, Brad Keselowski almost held on to win while in fuel-saving mode the same way Chase Briscoe did at Pocono. Chris Buescher said there hasn't necessarily been a huge revelation from last year's race, but talked about the why/how of what's made it possible to save fuel and still keep faster cars behind you by bogging them in dirty air.

What's interesting is that with Indy's long straightaways, you would think the trailing car would get enough of a draft to set up a pass by the end of the straightaway. The problem is, Buescher said that dirty air in the corners makes it difficult to get a run in the corners and generate that momentum down the straightaways.
