The Ministry of Finance has announced that XXX kilograms of Iranian saffron were seized at the Herat customs in an attempt to smuggle them into Afghanistan.

According to the ministry’s statement, the smugglers intended to re-export the saffron under Afghanistan’s name to foreign markets.
