On Wednesday, July 23, a single mother named Carrie Hageseth testified that Craig, whom she met on a sugar dating website, lavished her with gifts & money while allegedly fantasizing about killing his wife. Hageseth testified Craig bought her daughter a $XXXXX car, gave her kids $XXX for Christmas, & paid thousands in attorney fees for her divorce. She stated Craig mentioned a movie plot where one could kill anyone within XX hours without consequences & referenced his wife. Hageseth sensationally told the court Craig knew how to "get away with ... injecting somebody in the neck with a substance," specifically mentioning "potassium chloride, or potassium something, because it was untraceable." Prosecutors allege Craig poisoned Angela's shakes with cyanide, arsenic, & tetrahydrozoline (in eyedrops), driven by financial troubles & extramarital affairs. Craig told Hageseth that "financial separation from [Angela] was near impossible," & "it’d make him completely broke and destitute." He allegedly asked Hageseth, "Do you know anyone who can help me with my problem down here? I can pay handsomely." Hageseth testified she believed "problem" meant his wife, & suggested he "hit up a homeless person." Another woman, Jordan Ivey, also testified she met Craig on in October 2022, & he lavished her with gifts while frequently expressing unhappiness in his marriage. The defense maintains Angela was suicidal & manipulative.
