Check https://lunarcrush.ai/auth for authentication information.]  KC-10 Driver ✈️ 👨✈️ B-737 Wrangler [@MCCCANM](/creator/twitter/MCCCANM) on x 32.5K followers Created: 2025-07-24 03:18:59 UTC Yeah, Redeye flying isn’t great, but I try to think of the positives: • On a Transcon “there & back”, you get X days of pay but you’re only gone around XX hours. • Less traffic & quieter radios. • Less traffic on the drive to work, too. • Better chance of getting shortcuts. • Slip right in on approach; no long vectors to get in line. • Less weather; once the sun stops feeding storms, they stop growing & the tops fall, so you can get over most weather that remains. • Weaker weather & winds on approach, too. • Sleeping passengers don’t cause problems. • Fewer idiots on the East Coast meowing on guard. If you can make it to your hotel room before the sun comes up, and you can black it out well, you’ll probably be able to sleep for 5-6 hours. If you can’t beat the Sun, it’s much harder to sleep, as the sun resets your body clock. Anyway, if I had my preference I wouldn’t do redeyes, but these do work rather well for my schedule…just have to try to keep a positive attitude. Yeah, Redeye flying isn’t great, but I try to think of the positives:
