"In the T-37 we would Cloud Surf developing storms: hit the edges of the clouds to ride the updrafts giving us a big boost to our climb rate. You could feel the boost. At the top as our airspeed got critical wed roll inverted & pull to come down the other side. You couldnt be inverted inside a cloud so had to pick your routes. You didnt know what the other side would look like so sometimes youd find yourself weaving around pulling Gs to avoid going inside (as long as you werent past XX of bank it would be legal but the point was the challenge almost like the floor is lava). Its kind of a propaganda film but a remarkable one & a good period piece; the story is compelling & stars the famous Jimmy Stewart I like the glimpse into the Air Force following WWII as the Cold War was still young.
