Credit card for airline - $99/yr, among other things, gives you free carryon and checked bag on all tickets, usually. Pays for itself in one RT flight. If you’re paying for a checked bag, you’re missing a layup on managing the airline system. Focusing on one airline’s status program usually will get you enough status to get free or discounted exit row or other “nicer” economy seats. I also never buy Basic Economy tickets bc they don’t come with anything.
