hostile takeovers is a whole world unto itself in capital markets so I will just point you to study those strategies... in terms of getting socially slashed... how do you slash a public company without screwing the other XX% of shareholders who are innocent? How do you determine when to slash them? It'd have to be before they've revealed their hand
