If you blur the photo and mess with the curves, you can “restore” all the color, not just of the coke can but also the hand, ground, sky, etc.

This photo was not manually “colorized” in the way you would a black and white photo, all I did was blur it and adjust the curves (which definitely wouldn’t bring all the colors back to a grayscale image) Which means it’s not just a matter of “We know coke is red so we see red”. I don’t know how it works, but somehow this arrangement of black, white, and cyan “stores” the data of the original colors. Can someone smart explain
