Your mortgage rate isn’t what you think it is 😬

Mine says 5.5%… but take a look at the chart 👇

So far this year:
• $XXXXXXXXX went to interest 😵
• Just $XXXXXXXXX went to principal 🤯
That’s XX% interest.

This is what amortization looks like. It’s front-loaded. That “5.5% rate” only averages out if you stay for the full XX years, and let’s be honest, most people don’t.

If anyone tells you not to pay off your home early, they don’t understand this.

You’re paying a premium for convenience up front.
