The reason people are investing in this type of growth is that some companies, like Palantir, have a significant amount of free cash flow—around XX percent of their revenue ultimately turns into free cash flow. Institutional investors, in particular, are projecting two to three years of free cash flow and valuing the stock price based on projected market capitalizations from 2025 to 2027. So when you buy Palantir at today's prices, you are essentially factoring in those future expectations. I don't really agree with this because let's say for example there's a recession or there's a misstep then the stock will retrace back to intrinsic value which a lot of folks call mean reversion.
