@antonykh1218 their stock price got hit during the talks, and $PM mgmt. didn't need to be geniuses to realize that the market did NOT like the "merger" even if it was 60/40 in favor of Philip Morris.  

Both stocks were down about the same from the 2017 highs, BTW.
