Audrik Matevosian, 21, who worked as an IT specialist for Robert 'Bob' Boyajian, 75, is now charged with first-degree murder & grand theft in connection with Bob's death. Bob, a respected California realtor, was reported missing on Monday, July 14, after failing to appear at a company meeting. Matevosian initially helped deputies investigate Bob's disappearance, attempting to access his home security footage. Investigators discovered a $XXXXX ATM withdrawal from Bob's account the night before he was reported missing, with surveillance footage identifying Matevosian as the person making the withdrawal. Deputies later learned Matevosian purchased a body bag on Amazon days before the murder & allegedly rented a vehicle to drive to Bob's home. Matevosian, who spent the night at Bob's home after an IT task, is believed to have murdered Bob around midnight. Madera County deputies believe Matevosian murdered Bob while he slept, then transported the body to the Mojave Desert, burying it in a cave. Bob's body, along with his phone & wallet, were recovered at various locations connected to Matevosian. Two firearms, including a stolen 9mm handgun & Bob's 10mm handgun, were found in Matevosian's bedroom, along with the shovel used in the burial. Sheriff Tyson Pogue described the crime as "a deeply disturbing case of betrayal and premeditated violence," noting Matevosian had no prior criminal history. Matevosian initially claimed Bob died by suicide, then that he helped Bob end his life, before confessing to the murder, citing financial gain & negative comments about his family as motives.
