@IAmArcIvanov @Brad_Setser Is China going to invade Los Angeles?  If China starts going after Hawaii or California, nuke Shanghai and we all die.  

China is growing at X% per year, it's going to be able to increase its military *no matter what the US does*. 

Something is going to break.
