Jamal White, 7, was kidnapped at gunpoint from his bike near his Milwaukee, Wisconsin, home on Friday, July 11, in a horrifying abduction caught on camera. Two armed suspects in a white Jeep Renegade blocked his family's driveway, & video shows one chasing Jamal's father while the other grabs Jamal & drags him into the car. The abduction prompted a statewide Amber Alert, leading to a nearly 24-hour desperate search. Police found Jamal safe on Saturday evening, July 12, at a home about seven miles from the scene. Simone White, Jamal's aunt, expressed gratitude, saying, "I genuinely feel like if it wasn't for everybody just caring about this seven-year-old boy, we probably would not have found him." Police arrested Corey Gabriel Williams, 25, charged with kidnapping, taking hostages, & contributing to the delinquency of a child. A teenager was also arrested. According to the criminal complaint, Williams & the teen intended to rob Jamal's mother, believing she had drug money. When she wasn't home, they targeted Jamal's father & took Jamal. They later allegedly demanded $XXXXXXX & jewelry from Jamal's mother for his safe return. Jamal told police he heard them tell his mother they'd return him, but she never appeared. The kidnappers realized the Amber Alert was active, & the teen & another individual left Jamal with Williams, who hid in his attic. Jamal was found unharmed in a bedroom. In a bizarre twist, Jamal's uncle, Jamel K. White, 27, was arrested for allegedly firing a gun during the search for his nephew, facing two felony charges of first-degree recklessly endangering safety with a dangerous weapon. Additional reports allege Jamal's mother, Shavon Williams, has also been arrested with "charges pending."
