Raymond Boodarian, 22, has been charged with two counts of murder & first-degree residential burglary in the shooting deaths of "American Idol" executive Robin Kaye, 70, & her husband Thomas Deluca, 70, who were found murdered in their Encino, Los Angeles, California, home. Boodarian was arrested on Tuesday, July XX. Boodarian was previously accused of threatening his stepfather with a knife in November 2023 & threatening his mother & sister in February 2024. He was arrested again in June 2024, spending six months in jail before all charges were dismissed in December when he was declared mentally incompetent & placed on a conservatorship. Police allege Boodarian broke into the couple's $XXX million mansion on Thursday, July 10, & shot them when they returned home from the grocery store. Police reportedly connected him to the killing using fingerprints from his previous arrests & alleged security footage from the couple's house. Neighbors described Boodarian's mental health problems as well-known, citing "explosive fights" & erratic behavior.
