An overweight Ron Stander (pictured), coming in at the heaviest weight of his career (242, he was XXX when he challenged Joe Frazier), is stopped by young South African heavyweight Gerrie Coetzee on July 17, 1976 in South Africa.

The promising puncher, Coetzee, went to 12-0 with the win while the veteran, Stander, would no longer be any sort of factor in the heavyweight division.
