The incident, an alleged protest against Israel's actions in Gaza, left the facility's perimeter damaged & daubed in white paint, with pro-Palestinian protesters also scaling the fence & unfurling a Palestinian flag. The arrested women, aged 31, 34, & 42, were taken into custody. Police Scotland's Counter Terrorism Unit is leading the investigation. Authorities confirmed the incident is being treated as "targeted" but stated there is no wider threat to the public. The protest group Shut Down Leonardo Edinburgh claimed responsibility, accusing the company of manufacturing laser targeting systems for Israel's F-35 fighter jets. Witnesses reported seeing numerous police officers in helmets & harnesses surrounding the van, with some using an electric saw to try & gain entry. The site has been subject to repeated protests, including activists daubing red paint & unfurling banners reading "stop arming genocide" in December. Leonardo UK denies supplying weapons directly to Israel, stating it operates under strict UK government export controls & that its main customer is the UK Armed Forces. The protest comes weeks after the UK government formally banned the group Palestine Action, naming it a terrorist organization. 🙏Please share to spread awareness DISCLAIMER: The information shared is based on initial reports, may not be fully verified, and is presented as alleged.
