Lots of debate about the cover up, but almost none on the consequence - shipping in Afghans on an industrial scale is utter madness.

It’s a backward country. Afghanistan is not a place that shares our principles or basic values. It’s just not. To welcome thousands and thousands of these individuals to our country is not the way, and it’s a process that should be reversed.

We need to urgently establish an agreement with a safe third party country where we can relocate these people to. One that is geographically, culturally and socially closer to Afghanistan. That country is not Britain.

Those in genuine need, following intense and proper vetting, should be safe from the Taliban following our catastrophic cock up, but that does not have to be in Britain.

I’ve been informed that the checks taking place are woefully inadequate - the system is being vastly abused. Our generosity is being exploited, again.

Afghanistan is rife with violence against women, religious extremism, forced marriage and more.

Corruption, tribalism, oppression, sexual assault? Do we want to import even more of that? In the many, many thousands? No, is the answer. Definitely NOT.

Ask yourself. Is an establishment that was incompetent enough to leak the data, competent enough to properly vet the 100,000? Absolutely not. How many rapists are in that number? Criminals? Terrorists? Islamic extremists? We do NOT know.

Just say no. Sorry, but they are not welcome in Britain.

We can’t take the risk, and we shouldn’t take the risk.
