Richard Lindgren, 59, has been accused of murder in the shooting death of Benjamin Hawk, 42, at Louie's Corner House bar in Buckeye Lake, Ohio. The Licking County Sheriff's Office responded shortly before midnight on Friday, July 11, finding Hawk dead from a gunshot wound to the back of the head. A criminal complaint alleges Hawk & his girlfriend were on the outdoor patio singing karaoke when Lindgren approached Hawk "from behind, pulled out a small handgun and shot [Hawk] in the back of the head." Bar owner Debbie Williamson stated Hawk "got like three words out" of the song he was singing when he was shot. Several patrons witnessed the shooting, called 911, & chased Lindgren as he fled in his vehicle. Police issued a nationwide "be-on-the-lookout," & cops in Orangeburg, South Carolina, located Lindgren on traffic cameras on July XX. He was pulled over & taken into custody, now awaiting extradition back to Ohio. Hawk, a talented karaoke performer, leaves behind two children.
