Good background on how the U.S. government could purchase $NVO's and $LLY's GLP-1 patents:

"The law gives the U.S. government the authority to make or purchase a patented invention without the permission of the patent holder in exchange for reasonable compensation."

To be clear, I am not expecting this. Just offering background/context because Connecticut wants to do exactly this.
