The probe, ongoing for several weeks, is designed to circumvent standard statutes of limitations, allowing investigators to pursue long-buried crimes, according to Just the News. The investigation reportedly views the last decade of alleged weaponization as an "ongoing conspiracy" to target political enemies, shield Democrat allies, & manipulate presidential elections from 2016 through 2024. John Solomon, a commentator, explained that treating it as a conspiracy eliminates the five-year statutes on individual crimes.
