In an article about $ABAT lithium from claystone, I wrote:

“This stream then moves into a bipolar membrane, where water is split into hydrogen and hydroxide ions. The lithium ions combine with the hydroxide to form lithium hydroxide.”

This system for lithium hydroxide production will be used not only for the claystone project but also for the lithium-ion recycling platform.

@finlithium sent this to me just a bit ago. It looks like that bipolar membrane, or at least part of it, as well as a pump fr that system is now on site. Since it’s far too early for Tonopah, this would be for Phase X of the recycling platform. That phase is where they convert the intermediates into battery-grade material.
