If you are going to sell stock, please try to sell the one with the highest basis first, that would trigger the least amount of capital gains taxes

Alternatively, have you considered the trade-off between margin rates and capital gains taxes? Or perhaps rates on car loans too..

I know nothing about your personal situation, cash flows, and net worth composition. But came here to offer my X cents anyways :-)
