$Copper – recently broke into ATH. But how high could it go?

For Real Estate & Banking Cycle students, the past may provide some clues. The below chart shows copper price surges at the end of the last two phases (green boxes).

Both the late 1980s and mid-2000s surges were approximately +180% each. $10/lb is not an impossible target (roughly double the last price $5.50/lb), should history repeat.

All the Oakleigh Portfolios currently hold exposure to global copper producers to potentially benefit from a continuation of recent copper price trends.
