Why should pay of resident doctors reflect the private sector?
NHS doctors have total job security. Pretty much nobody in private sector has that. 
NHS doctors enjoy massive employer pensions contributions. V rare in private sector. 
NHS productivity is XX% below 2019. Private sector productivity is up.
