Ameer and his family moved into the Refaat Alareer Camp during the winter months when his tent was completed flooded. Unable to move or sit up fully on his own, he was drowning in the water. We brought him into our camp where he immediately started to flourish. 

His smile shows that despite the hardships, Ameer is a beautiful happy soul. But hardships he does have. Ameer has cerebral palsy, limited mobility, cannot walk, cannot talk, and suffers from bedsores. At the Refaat Alareer Camp, he gets full checkups weekly, ointments for his skin ulcers, daily food, physiotherapy on site, and also enjoys out music therapy classes. This is where you will really see Ameer smile…when the Oud player and singers start to perform. 

Please help us care for Ameer and the other medically vulnerable children and adults at the Refaat Alareer Camp. They need extra support which adds up, especially when all aid is blocked from entering. Donate to the Camp Campaign.
