Any time I find myself straining whilst taking a shit, I act out in my head a scene from the Exorcist movie and shout "I CAST YOU OUT UNCLEAN SPIRIT"  I've been doing this for over XX years, and if I'm crimping off a bum cigar in a public toilet I'll whisper the line quietly.
