This cited a Dutch news site about the Worldline scandal:

"Competitor Adyen decided a few years ago to stop doing business with this company, but Worldline subsidiary Global Collect Services continued to facilitate the Indian firm. This meant that users were still able to make credit card payments to the fraudulent Indian company."

This is why culture matters: $ADYEN keeps bad actors out from the start, while $WLN.PA chose to work with them, and took on massive risk as a result.
