KPD said the request was due to factors beyond its control, including government policy changes closing inbound duty-free shops, tax cuts on wine reducing sales, AOT reclaiming commercial space, fewer Chinese tourists from safety concerns, domestic issues, COVID-19, war, and a global economic slowdown. These issues have caused ongoing losses for KPD. AOT said it is reviewing the request and working with KPD to find fair solutions, including possible contract termination. AOT has hired a public university to study the situation and recommend options that benefit both sides. Meanwhile, KPD continues operating its duty-free shops as usual. #Thailand #StockMarket #SET #AOT #Airports XXXXX engagements **Related Topics** [tax bracket](/topic/tax-bracket) [mai](/topic/mai) [chiang mai](/topic/chiang-mai) [phuket](/topic/phuket) [stocks](/topic/stocks) [thailand](/topic/thailand) [$aotbk](/topic/$aotbk) [Post Link](https://x.com/ThaiEnquirer/status/1934522926625399139)
