Matrix Partners India)!! This one is personal - Saurabh & I first chatted because of the Stable soft launch on the GrowthX slack community in 2023. I’ve spent too many afternoons helping my grandfather with renewing his FDs… It is amazing to see how many feedback points from that Slack thread are today functional features in the Stable app. ✅Stable Money has also now publicly disclosed its plan to enter the secured credit card space by January 2025. Secured credits cards are a nice product extension from the current FD marketplace offering of Stable Money. 🌟Saurabh & Harish had a Day X ambition to build a multi-product company; at an event in May 2024, Saurabh shared the story about how Stable Money applied for all licenses (e.g. the OBPP license) at the time of incorporation of the company itself. 💡The Stable thesis is fascinating & unique: Start with a “stable” & “always green” asset class to build trust with risk-averse customers & lowly move into (margin generating) products. Usually FinTech co’s use payments, short-tenure loans or stocks/MFs to build a relationship but FDs are a unique wedge. ➡️It will be exciting to see how Stable Money matures into a full-fledged wealth management platform over the course of this & the next decade.
