"I've been hesitating to post something like this at the risk of being canceled but whatever here it goes: Back in the earlier Bitcoin days (2013 for me) we often thought of altcoins as a sort of testnet. Good ideas that were implemented in certain altcoins may eventually after many years arrive to Bitcoin as protocol improvements. Most Bitcoiners were at some point in their journey interested in altcoins. Many still are. Toxic maximalism only arrived later. There's an element to this toxic maximalism today as I observe from the Core vs Knots debate that says Bitcoin is perfect as is it should"

"Let's see. maybe we add new features like covenants that can make Bitcoin even better money and enable better ways to self custody Bitcoin is a protocol. You can already put any kind of arbitrary data onto Bitcoin. You can choose to interpret Bitcoin transactions in certain ways. Have you heard of colored coins for example Just because you want Bitcoin to only be used for money doesnt mean you can stop everyone from using it for something else. That is why we have proof of work so that there is a physical cost to putting a transaction (data) on the blockchain"

"Are there any bottle warmers that dont significantly overheat the milk I put 4oz in the bottle and set this crap warmer to 2oz. Took it to XXX degrees. Had I set it to the 4oz setting (as instructed) would have taken it to XXX degrees. Class action lawsuit anyone"

"Lots of folks saying they want to stop spam on Bitcoin. Basically the crux of this Core vs Knots debate. Id like to ask a question: what is spam To me its spam if its something like fake pubkeys. But its not spam just because I dont like your use case. A big problem here is that spam is arbitrary and not agreed on by users. One mans trash is anothers treasure. Seems to me like one side is just trying to restrict behavior they dont like and label it as spam"
