"Peter this is classic. Gold took 5000 years to surge a few hundred dollars and now suddenly its a threat to Bitcoin Bitcoin moves that much before lunch. You keep comparing an asset that sits in vaults to one that moves value globally in seconds 24/7 with no middlemen. One is a shiny rock. The other is programmable money. If gold was really a threat Bitcoiners would be selling. Instead theyre accumulating while gold holders still wait for someone to open the vault door. Gold is great for jewelry. "Gold protects wealth. Bitcoin builds it. Gold above $4100 is impressive but the context matters. Bitcoin isnt catching a bid from golds selloff its reflecting what every cross-asset analyst sees: liquidity rotation and risk repricing after a strong CPI and shifting rate expectations. Gold peaked on safe-haven demand as real yields dipped. Bitcoin on the other hand is responding to risk normalization and improving forward liquidity conditions.
