Some parents of DC murder victims and residents are supporting Trump's efforts to increase police presence in the city to combat rising crime, particularly violent carjackings and murders. They welcome the idea of more police in bad neighborhoods to make the city safer. This comes as some critics argue that progressive policies have contributed to the city's high murder rate.
